350
As part of the International Day of Climate Action, on October 10, 2010, the Fundación Biosfera joined the call of the international environmental organization 350.org. The purpose of the event was to discuss the actions to be done in adaptation to the effects of climate change and to limit these effects. Throughout the world, there were warning demonstrations about the emission of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. In La Plata, the project Arte Aéreo de 350 (“Aerial Art of 350”) was sought in the same mindset.
What is 350? According to scientists, it is the maximum limit of safe concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. Studies show that the planet would face disasters in human and natural terms if the atmospheric concentration of CO2 continues to rise to exceed 350 parts per million.
